Hailed by many as one of the best and up and coming Urban DJs around. DjM has excelled as a DJ, remixer, promoter, business man and ambassador for urban music. In the UK he is the next big thing in the music business with looming albums to be released and plans to move on to producing. As anyone who has met him will attest, DjM is the living embodiment of the perfect gentlemen, the DJ diplomat and urban music pioneer.

DjM (real name David Meylan) began his DJ career due to his passion for music from an early age. He decided early on in school that he wanted a career in the music business and with being such a fan of urban music and having bought his first album (2Pac – Me Against The World) at age 11 along side a host of Michael Jackson albums he decided to start making mix-tapes for his own pleasure, this lead on to practising all sorts of techniques in mixing.

At 16 DjM got a job as mobile Dj/Karaoke operator also the sound technician for his mum (Pauline) an international vocalist for 30 years travelling the globe with her talent and appearing on shows such as ‘Opportunity knocks’ and The European ‘Top of the Pops’. At 17 the karaoke he operated at one of the venues turned into DJing as he was entertaining the crowd more with his song selection and mixing than the Karaoke was. This lead to more bookings and him promoting himself as much as he could in and around the area.

In due time DjM ventured the international club scene and has rocked dance floors the world over and has conquered corners of the globe previously left untouched. Maintaining a constant tour schedule, playing throughout the UK and Europe, he recently mesmerized thousands in West Africa and Japan. Unfortunately due to his commitments and contracts In Ayia-Napa Cyprus where he was sponsored by huge conglomerates such as ‘Heineken’ and Djed for the likes of ‘TwiceasNice’ and ‘Flava’ DjM had to turn down gigs in Dubai, Sardinia, Bulgaria and Switzerland. In 2008 DjM began his own promotional label ‘FridayFlava.com’ and has been running these all over Europe and is currently in Zante (Greece) completing the season.

Look out for the release of his 2008 album (mix-tape) named ‘FLAVA’ featuring guest appearances from Dj Ugly and Caribbean Dance hall superstars Cherry L & Shane Ross with a big help from producer Young Dupes.
